I bought these metal pirate coins thinking they might be useful for a game project, and honestly, they are great little treasure pieces. They have a nice clinky metal feel, which immediately makes them about 700% more satisfying than plastic coins. Science may not back that up, but my inner pirate does.

They’re not huge, which is actually a plus if you need a lot of tokens, treasure pieces, rewards, party favors, or game components that won’t take over your entire table like a tiny dragon hoard with boundary issues. The set comes with a lot of coins, and the gold/silver/bronze look gives them more visual variety than a pile of identical fake doubloons.

Are they museum-quality ancient treasure? No. Is Blackbeard going to rise from the sea and demand royalties? Also no. But for games, treasure chests, pirate parties, classroom rewards, or general “I suddenly need a bag of shiny metal coins” situations, these are a really fun value. I think I’m going to use them at my next poker night with the mateys. Arrr!
